Visa for Vietnam

Do you need a Vietnam visa?

The answer is that it depends on the length and frequency of visit. Citizens of certain nationalities can enter Vietnam without a visa and Germany is in the list of 15-day visa exemption.

Check out the comprehensive list of Vietnam visa exemptions here.

For example, Germany passport holders don’t need to apply for Vietnam visa so long as their stay does not exceed 15 days. It means if you plan to travel to Vietnam only once within 30 days, you are qualified for visa exemption. Otherwise, you need a visa in the second time onwards.

Once you meet the above conditions, please ensure that your passport has minimum 6-month validity beyond arrival date, and the proof of exit is available to travel to Vietnam with no visa.

Apply online

Instead of showing up the Embassy or Consulate General, you totally can apply for Vietnam visa via the Internet by some quick steps.

Firstly, you need to fill out the online application form exactly as your personal information. Secondly, you print out the Approval Letter which will be received by email within 2 working days (tourist visa, normal service).

Lastly, present at the airport with a hardcopy of this letter and valid passport and pay stamping fee in cash to get your visa stamped.

This way is both time-saving and convenient for foreign applicants; therefore, we highly recommend it to Germans who are going to visit Vietnam.
